Free Personal & Commercial Use

freecompressimage is provided completely free of charge. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the web application for personal, educational, non-profit, and commercial purposes.

You may use this tool to compress and optimize media for your websites, mobile apps, marketing campaigns, client projects, digital products, and personal media archives without paying any licensing or subscription fees.

100% User Content Ownership

You retain full and unencumbered ownership, copyright, and all intellectual property rights to any images, assets, or media you select and process with freecompressimage.

Because all compression takes place in your local web browser and no data is ever uploaded to our servers, we assert zero rights, claims, or licenses over your content.

Client-Side Processing & System Load

All computations, binary search iterations, resolution downscaling, and format conversions are performed directly on your local device hardware (CPU/GPU and RAM).

When compressing large batches or high-resolution images (such as multi-megapixel camera RAW/PNG files), your device may experience brief spikes in processing and memory usage. Performance depends solely on your device's capabilities and current browser resources.

User Conduct & Lawful Content

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purposes or to process material that infringes upon the intellectual property, privacy, or legal rights of third parties. You further agree not to disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized penetration of the hosting infrastructure.

Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

While our compression algorithm strives to deliver the highest possible visual fidelity strictly under your target byte ceiling, we do not warrant that all arbitrary image files or unsupported proprietary formats can be successfully parsed by every browser engine.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the creators, maintainers, or hosting providers of freecompressimage be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, hardware malfunction, loss of business, or workflow interruptions arising out of the use or inability to use this utility.
